An energy company startup asked us if we could design a mobile app to increase exposure and simplify their client experience, and provide a way to keep their clients updated to increase chances of repeat business.
We designed a prototype with functionality for, in their words, “a simple and easy to use interface for potential customers that we reach with marketing to send their data to us regarding the energy systems as a pre-cursor to a site visit.” which included a catalogue of services, news & updates sections, and assessment request forms clients can use to provide information, allowing the company to efficiently categorize leads and quickly provide service upon arrival.
Upon reviewing the app, the company was very pleased with our work, saying it was exactly what they were looking for.
Detailed Project Description Below:
Purpose:
To provide a simple and easy to use interface for potential customers that we reach with marketing to send their data to us regarding the energy systems as a pre-cursor to a site visit.
- First provide a simple catalogue of the services we can provide (without pricing of course): Audit, Insulation, Solar, Lighting, Equipment, Control Systems etc… basically all the marketing papers simplified to show on a phone.
- Provide a blog or some method that allows us to PUSH content to their phones (this is important too because we will eventually use this for co-marketing with mortgage lenders).
- Provide the tool described below for allowing them to request a proposal from us, without us needing to enter their home or make an appointment (ie: this should inform them that it will take about 30 minutes to complete this assessment and then we will send them a report or proposal).
Functionality:
- It needs to have user input form fields
- It needs to access the users camera on their phone for submitting photos
- Both of the data needs to be sent over the internet to our database and that database needs to produce a report for us
- It needs to be accessible from the apple and android app stores (also available on our site)
- It needs to have some contact (blog and/or catalogue of services (pictures+summary w/o pricing)
